Everest View Hike

Drive to Ramechhap. Overnight in a simple tea house.

In the morning, you board a small plane that will take you through a spectacular mountainous landscape to Lukla. The tiny, inclined runway of this little mountain town is a sight in itself! Lukla is the place where Everest Base Camp hikers start their expedition, so there is a real buzz in the town. We will be hiking a part of the Everest trek during our itinerary.

As you acclimatize to the altitude, you'll meet your local Sherpa guide. He will accompany you throughout the tour and show you his world. Together, you start your trek towards Phakding, where you will stay the night at a local tea house. The hike from Lukla (2840m) to Phakding (2610m) takes about 8km.

Today is all about hiking! It will take you about 6 hours and 12km to reach Namche Bazaar (3440m), hiking along the gorgeous Himalayas. Namche Bazaar is a small town with only around 1600 inhabitants, but it's a stopping point for many hikers as it's the gateway to the higher Himalayas. You may meet some interesting characters about the town! A perfect chance for you to dive more into the local culture. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Today, you go on a short hike to the local goma, a traditional monastery, to learn about the religious customs of the region.

You will get up to 3880m and get the chance to enjoy the Everest View Point. A magic moment!

On your way back, you meet a local Sherpa family who will welcome you with snacks and tea. You get to learn about their lives in the mountains, get to know family life from their perspective. You spend the night back at the tea house in Namche Bazaar.

After your time in Namche Bazaar, it's time to head out on the trail once again and hike back to Lukla (20km). Since you will pass the various viewpoints of the trail at a different time of day compared to your way up, you will get to experience the various spots with a drastically different lighting and atmosphere!

Back in Lukla, you meet up with a local mountaineer for drinks at a bar. The stories that he will tell you are one of a kind! There are no better mountaineers than the Sherpa, as even their genetics adapted to life at such high altitudes. He has had climbing adventures that only a handful of people have experienced!

You will spend the night at the local tea house in Lukla.

Today, your hike comes to a close. You catch an early morning flight and experience a spectacular take-off into the majestic valley below.
