Peru is a big country packed with things to do, and this was a really thoughtful and well-crafted itinerary. I would never be able to organise this trip alone. Here you will eat lots of delicious food, get lots of fresh air, and make lots of incredible memories. I really appreciated the way we climbed elevation, and then dropped down in altitude from Lake Titicaca into Cusco thus ensuring we were well acclimatised for the Inca trail. This was quite an active holiday with some early mornings, but there were opportunities to take it easy. E.g. the thermal springs after our visit to Colca Canyon was just perfect. The Inca trail day-hike was incredible, and whilst you don't need to be an experienced hiker I'd recommend if you can doing a couple of hikes around 10km before your trip. Our guide had spare walking poles, which I'd never used before but I found very useful when climbing the steps. Staying with Gregorio and his family by Lake Titicaca was also extremely special - I loved having the opportunity to get to know them. If possible, I'd also recommend learning as much Spanish as you're able to.
If like me you're also into knitting and/or crochet you will get a lot of excitement and inspiration as well :)
Our guide was from Cusco, and so being shown this area by him was a great experience and we got some excellent recommendations. I loved learning about the history of the country throughout our trip.
Overall I absolutely loved this Indico adventure, & I highly recommend it!
