Day 1 • See the Famous Abu Simbel Temple!
Wake up early and take a private bus to visit the famous historic site of Abu Simbel, consisting of two huge rock-cut temples. Taking around twenty years to build, It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, titled ‘Nubian Movements’. Originally made in the 13th century, the site serves as a tribute to King Ramesses II, and dedicated to the gods Amun, Ra-Horakhty, and Ptah. It’s to be considered one of the most beautiful of the temples from the reign of Ramesses II, as well as one of the most stunning in Egypt.
Take a guided tour of the Temple of Ramsis II, and the Temple of Nefertari. Then, head back to Aswan for a free afternoon - perhaps a nap by the pool?
