Portugal has always been a place where different cultures meet. In the small streets of Lisbon's historic old town, you're likely to find yourself between Gothic architecture on one side and Moorish tiling on the other. Portugal is also a kaleidoscope of different periods, where classical buildings such as churches and castles are found right next to modern structures with colorful graffiti.
Not far from the capital, you will find fairytale castles and wild natural landscapes. But ultimately, it is the hospitality of the locals that makes Portugal so unique and wonderful.
