Our trips to Vietnam
Information about Vietnam
Vietnam is full of breathtaking nature, cultural complexity and exoticism.
A country that immediately captivates visitors. The landscapes range from the Red River Delta in the north to the Mekong Delta in the south. In between, stretch pristine beaches, green forests and high cliffs.
Add to this a complex cuisine that combines colonial French influences with local ingredients, as well as colorful cultural diversity. All of these are ingredients for the trip of a lifetime.
From north to south: the 3400 km coastline.
Vietnam's coastline stretches over 3400 km and offers numerous beautiful sandy beaches. From north to south stretches a mountain range largely covered by tropical rainforest, widening to a plateau towards the south. Only along the coast there is a narrow, fertile lowland strip. The Mekong Delta in the south and the Red River Delta in the north are among the largest rice-growing areas in the world.
The Historic UNESCO World Heritage Cities
Travel through the ancient history of Hanoi and explore the hidden alleys that lead to a hidden Vietnamese coffee house. Meet the family of a poet who worked in the Royal Citadel of Hue. Take an early morning stroll through Hoi An town, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
The Friendly People.
The people of Vietnam are friendly and outgoing. The young generation often speaks English, but German as a foreign language is also popular. Again and again you meet Vietnamese who have studied and worked in Germany and who still speak German well. Four major philosophies and religions have shaped intellectual life in Vietnam: Confucianism, Taoism, Christianity and Buddhism. In Vietnam, great importance is attached to community thinking and a sense of belonging. Above all, the cohesion of family members, mutual care and responsibility are considered fundamental traditional norms.
