Do you tip in Greece?
In Greece, A tip of between 5% and 10% is recommended, but not obligatory. You are also welcome to give your tour guide a tip at your discretion. If you’re unsure, you can always ask what’s customary for that specific establishment. Some restaurants will include a 5-10% gratuity fee already with the bill, in which case it's up to you if you'd like to tip even extra.
For bars and clubs, if you go and get your drink yourself, then it’s not as expected for you to tip. Taxis and any other situation in which someone is doing a service for you (hotel staff etc.), it’s quite up to you. If they are considerably helping you or pleasant, not only would you be helping out locals, but you’d also probably create an even more enjoyable experience for yourself. Leave a couple euro for anyone who you feel has enhanced your trip!
